Flickr,which is fairly more well known that its more asthetically pleasing, easier-to-navigate partner picsview, Is an excellent outlet for users to upload and share photos with the world. Despite the drawbacks that become apparent after some experience with picsviewr, Flickr is a capable site unto itself that is user-friendly, connected to yahoo, one of the most beloved and well known search engines in existance today (second only to google of course) and of course, free. I might even go so far as to describe flickr as a photographic social network, that could easily also be described as more expansive and useful than facebook or any other equivalent social network. Others ave tried in the past to combine passtimes with social networking and failed miserably (Im looking at you, ping) but flickr manages to hit the nail on the head. combining ease of use with accesibility and a wide range of capabilities. All in all, I thoroughly enjoy flickr and use it at any chance I get, and would reccomend anyone else looking for a social outlet for photo fanatics from professional photographers to even the most basic of point and shoot users.
